Thomas C. Sullivan and Sandra A. Sullivan have dedicated a substantial amount of time and financial support to charitable organizations in the Greater Cleveland area. One of the common threads of their investment of time and money in our community has been education.

In order to honor the success, achievements and commitment to community demonstrated by their parents, particularly at the time of Thomas C. Sullivan's retirement as Chief Executive Officer of RPM, Inc., the Thomas C. and Sandra A. Sullivan children chose to commemorate their parents commitment to philanthropy generally and their support of education specifically by making contributions to The Cleveland Foundation in their honor and encouraging others to do the same. With those generous contributions from the Sullivan children, as Founding Donors, and other members of the Greater Cleveland community, The Cleveland Foundation formed Sullivan Scholars Foundation to perpetuate Thomas C. and Sandra A. Sullivan's example of community involvement and commitment to increasing the educational opportunities of children.

The purpose of the supporting organization will be to provide financial assistance to children in northeastern Ohio, primarily for "K through 12" education.
